Went to Porlock on a whim to escape the house on 30 December hoping to find somewhere for a coffee and found this place open (this was the only non-pub). We ordered a cream tea each (in December!) and it was completely delicious! The scone was still warm and the cream was very good. The flavour of the Whortleberry jam was amazing. My partner said the coffee was very good. It was a nice light place to sit and hear the wind whistle. Their range of cheese was very good (my partner's mum had struggled to get Cornish Yarg before Christmas but this shop had some) and their chutneys and jam range was fantastic (we came away with 2 chutneys!) The gentleman serving was very good, nothing too much trouble - left us alone while we ate but just as happy to chat afterwards. With just 3 tables I think you would struggle to get in in the busy months but would thoroughly recommend trying!

A cosy cafe serving real, Italian coffee was the only thing missing in Porlock. The Big Cheese has fixed that nicely, excellent flat white, tasty snacks, friendly service and it’s a cheese delicatessen as well! Great job - well done!

Great little shop, delicious cream tea, bought some locally made Jam and biscuits too. Very friendly and welcoming chap. Seems popular with locals. Would definitely return.

Good service. Always with a smile. Good coffee. Good selection of local cheeses. Very nice cheese scone. - it actually tasted cheesy! Nice bread. Good selection of pastries and cakes. The coffee and walnut cake is moist and particularly tasty. You may have to comeback because it's so small. But it's worth it.

Great service. Nice coffee. They do offer alternative milks etc although couldn't see them mentioned...ie Soya, Oat milk, decaffeinated etc etc. Good array of cakes, also sell local produce included a variety of cheese, bottled beers etc...definitely worth a stop off.

Lovely little tea shop that sells cheese and cider stuff as well. Only 3 tables so quick service. Coffee and cake was lovely. I'm sure that when it is full and people talking it would have more atmosphere. Needed some background noise / music. Would recommend.
