As usual, I forgot to pack half my holiday clothing so was delighted to find the Exmoor Rambler in Porlock selling the brands I like and several at discounted prices. I left with hiking socks and a waterproof coat all without the hassle of having to go to one of the bigger shopping towns. A gem of a place!

Excellent advise and service. Bought a great pair of boots, comfortable right out of the box and got free socks thrown in. We will be back!

Excellent service from the staff here while buying a pair of walking boots during a recent holiday. My old pair suddenly gave up the ghost during the holiday so I didn't have much time to research or shop around, so I bought what looked like a decent pair in this shop. They've done a few miles since and I'm very pleased with them. Although I normally "support the local shop" (and had no choice on this occasion anyway) I'm pleased to see that the price I paid compares very favourably with what I would have paid online.
